Jessica Ueda, A-GNP
Jessica is our Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (A-GNP). She is a native West Virginian, born and raised in South Charleston where she still lives today. She acquired her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Marshall University in 2011 and worked as a Critical Care RN for 6
years, first at Raleigh General Hospital and then at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
In 2014, Jessica was inspired to return to graduate school through Walden University where she obtained her Master’s degree in Nursing as an adult-geriatric primary care practitioner in 2017. Upon graduation, she and her husband Kenji, who is native to Japan and met at
Marshall while Jessica was working on her bachelor’s as well as minoring in the Japanese language, began their journey into parenthood when they had their first son, Zen, in 2018.
Since August 2018, she has worked at Mountain State Health & Wellness providing primary care services to all that choose to become a part of our practice. If you come in for a sick visit, to have stitches placed or removed, require IV fluids or any other acute service, you will most likely see Jessica. If you need to establish with a primary care provider, she is also available and taking patients at any time for long-term care.
Jessica’s commitment to improving the overall health and wellness, as well as preventing the progression of chronic illnesses, of those in the Mountain State is what makes her an outstanding and caring provider. She has rooted herself deep within our work-family, putting
forth all her effort into making everyone, patient and staff-alike, feel welcome and cared for, and she continues to hope she makes a noticeable difference in the lives of all those who step foot into our office.
